Don't forget that any "drone" (i.e. Remote controlled airplane or helicopter) weighing more than an unladen swallow must now be registered and tagged on the "Federal Drone Registry" for a fee of $25 dollars per 5 years. If u are caught flying without a registration, you can be fined $27,000 if I recall correctly.

Or, conversely, you can tell the over-reaching Federal bureaucrats, "My Drone, My Choice!"

The registration fee is $5 and is good for 3 years. Registering takes just a moment online. You just provide your name, mailing address, and CC info. That is it. They will email you a certificate that you are supposed to have on you anytime you fly (can be kept as a file on your phone), and you have to mark the reg # on the drone itself with permanent marker, sticker or engraving.
