I know it's a structural problem. But why was a tech from Dish Network sent? What kind of mechanical skills do they have, aside from turning a wrench for tightening the coax cable?

As Julie mentioned, they are also advertising smartphone screen repairs, and when my dish service was installed, they offered installing surround sound systems and "smart home" devices like AT&T. They are trying to branch out to as many options they can find.
