This is a recurrent theme with me and I can't break my habit of initially setting the system up for proper "surround", then fielding the complaint: "The rear speakers aren't working." I sigh to myself, then adjust the system to "smack the back of the head mode." Years ago I had a similar discussion with an air conditioning installer who always set his systems to make ice cubes on day one.
