Edumacate me: what about the flash mode is useful for shining into a wall, etc, that's different from every other flashlight?
It better be if it uses C cells. Have you noticed how rare those are?
I don't live in California- we have everything out here. I have never had a problem finding them, although I haven't needed many, as I wrote. Worst case, I go to Harbor Freight and buy some re-chargeables.
Houses are built differently here, too- lots of older ones which have odd spaces that don't allow for someone to shove a push rod in or grab it from the other end. Sometimes, I need to go into an attic, find a hole and see if the wall has fire blocking- if I see the flashing light at the opening for the wall plate, I know it's somewhat open.
