I'll have to check this when I'm back there some time next week, but when I was fooling around with the Hopper I didn't find that EXIT always landed you in the same place.

And it's sure irritating to try to get back to TV from Netflix! IIRC, you have to exit, then scroll to the right six or seven times, then close Netflix. I never actually started a program so I don't know if it's even more complicated, but it might be.
