I'll tell ya, ya gotta love a product that tells you to use a cable that (I believe) it's illegal to use. This just reveals, once more, the stupidity of the entire HDMI fiasco.

Before you check for updates on the satellite receiver, look up the date of the software. If it was a few days ago, that's a big hint, though sadly it's not the answer.
