I have a 3 month old installation with a DirecTV 4K Client (Don't recall specific model, but it's the same size as H25), 2M Ethereal MHY series cable and Sony XBR-55X850D flat panel. No other sources connected.
After 3 months of working, the Genie client now displays a message something like "HDMI Cable not authorized, switch to component cable." Client has rebooted Genie and client, etc. to no avail.
Anyone suddenly seeing a problem with 4K clients...? Wondering about a firmware push that changed or broke something. Otherwise, I wonder if the HDMI cable has been damaged.
TIA for any experience with this error.
Articulated mount or static? If articulated, I would want to know if the end was stressed and damaged. Has anyone moved the AVR?
