I would have agreed with you up till this most recent update. I get between five and 10 notices per day to update. If I say no, it brings up another screen that says put in your passcode and the update will be done in the middle of the night when the phone is recharging. If that isn't forcing an upgrade, I don't know what is. Up till this one I think your argument had validity, but no longer.

Havent gotten those messages on any of my devices. The only indication is that there is a badge on the settings app and unless I go in to settings I don't even know what the badge is for. 4 iphones, three ipads. No badgering.
