Again thank you for your feedback on how I should do things with this system.
I haven't spent any more than a couple of hours "wasting" my time figuring out a simple solution until they want to upgrade this system to something else. The time stamp of when I requested advice has nothing to do with the actual time that I looked into how the system operates, I was just asking a question if there is something special with the port switch and if anyone had one laying around that they wanted to get rid of.
I guess I should mention this is for a family friend that I am helping out that has helped me extensively in the past, but that shouldn't matter really anyway.
Thank you for posting up your feedback and in most cases I would run from this situation if it was a standard customer, but this is not a standard customer. I will present them with some of the options that are out there for when they would like to upgrade and try to get a port switch that can work for the time being to save them a little for awhile.
