One obvious divide and conquer test would be to just leave the laptop hard connected for a couple days and see if the problem goes away, assuming that's even an option on laptops these days. If the problem goes away, it's down to the wireless connection. If it doesn't, then it's more likely some more general network configuration issue on that machine.
