Anyone have info on the latest iOS update causing iPad video output from the Apple 30 pin AV adapter to break.

I have a client who buys a bunch of itunes music videos and plays them through his projector for parties and such. He has an older iPad (30 pin connector) and uses the apple branded AV connector with HDMI out to a Epson proj.
We have a HydraConnect HDBaseT extender kit that passes the HDMI signal from said iPad to the projector over CAT6.
It worked fine until this recent apple update. Now they get nothing.

We took over a couple of HDMI devices to see if they pass, and they all do. Just not the iPad.
Any ideas here? Was this something in the update or just pure coincidence?
