I think Samm has it right. You are going to have to dig thru old Sony codes.
I have never yet, found a Sony TV that did not respond to ON/OFF IR codes. But I have had some tough ones I had to dig thru many code sets. Sony does have a lot of IR code sets for their devices (including TVs). They just usually use the same common ones but sometimes . . . .
