It's not the name brand (don't know why he did that) but the distributor that is usually scrambled. Fear was always customer sees the thread, contacts the distributor, and sets up their own account to buy stuff at cost. Because most distributors are whores and they will do just that.
But between Amazon & eBay these days, just about everything can be had at cost anyway. Without a customer going thru the hassles of setting up a fake identity with a distributor. So there really is no need these days.
