I have a new brother in law who is moving into a new home. He bought a room full of furniture for the home, but it was an "all or nothing" purchase. The seller required him to take the old Hitachi 57T500 CRT projection TV, along with other items that belong in a museum. After doing some research, this model has only component video and a DVI input...no HDMI. I believe it is a 2003 set. It still works. QUESTION: It's been so long ago, I don't remember if there is a cable that is DVI on one end and HDMI on the other. If so, will that work (video only)? New Comcast set top box has HDMI output only.
The only other option might be to go with component video IF Comcast will provide an older set top box with component video capability.
My sis and bro in law live 4 hours away, so I can't just stop by on my way home from work to help.
Thanks in advance!
