When I saw the cellphone video of the Louisiana shooting on CNN, my immediate reaction was holy shit those bastards murdered him. I couldn't believe they would pin a man to the ground and shoot him twice in the back of the head because he pinned his hand under his chest to refuse being handcuffed.
Then a day or two later, I was in my favorite gun shop and talking about it with a retired law enforcement officer. He hadn't seen the video. So I googled it and found the link. But it was a different video. A better angle, clear, higher definition video. In this video I could see the man was on his back, with his hand back under his body. In the area it turned out he had a gun stashed. Did the cops know he had a gun and was reaching for it? No, but they had reports he had been brandishing a handgun earlier.
