Xfinity X1 DVR and add on boxes with standard remotes.

The customer wanted the xfinity boxs located in a remote location and not at the TVs. Cat6 with HDMI extenders is run between the boxes and the TVs.
The TVs close to the rack will change channels with no problems. The other TVs are too far away for the RF to work.

Tested the remote on an RTI capture box and found the channel buttons are RF only.

Is there a way to have the channel button output IR or what have others done to extend the remote.
