I know there has been discussions on here before in regards to controlling these newer openers that have the myQ link on them. A lot of you have modified wireless remotes or hard wired and soldered onto the button contacts for the hardwired controller to integrate these openers into your automation system, and none of this extra time and material is required.

I can confirm from personally testing on my own opener that all you require is a contact closure in parallel to the wall controller (red and white terminals). This is also stated in the manual on how to test the door operation if you think the wall controller is defective.
