Well I used to run a mikrotik rb750g at home, which was a little 4 port gigabit router. That little guy ran my house for 3 years and never hiccuped on me for any of my automation, camera and network needs.

Now I've moved to a mikrotik crs125rm, which is a router with a 24 port switch all in one unit. This thing is perfect for most jobs. I usually add a Poe switch for when they are needed. I did add a 24 port Araknis Poe switch to my home to compliment the tik and couldn't be happier.

Of all the routers that I've tested out in my home for over 15 years, the tik's hands down blow everything else out of the water, IMO.
