The slow down issue happens with every computer. The device is designed and built with 2014 (for example) hardware then sold in 2015 and then upgraded to 2016 and 2017 (typical 2 year life span of a mobile device) applications that are designed to make use of hardware built in 2016...which is faster than the 2014 hardware on your 2015 phone that you still have in 2017 waiting for your upgrade to the new 2018 model...(catches breath).

While I have had my issues with the Note3, it is essentially as fast as the day I got it. While PC's do get slower as newer software eats up resources, I typically get twice the amount of time on them before I see a significant slow down like I do with iOS.
