This guy is running his small plumbing business out of his shop (where the cameras are located). His shop is outside of the city and isn't visible from the road. He uses the email notification to quickly see if its a delivery truck coming in or a vehicle he should be concerned about.
Since he's more concerned with vehicles, why not install a loop sensor and trigger e-mail notification that way?
