This needs to be set for video loss or malfunctions, not every time something is detected by the cameras. If they're so paranoid that they want to capture everything, they should just hire someone to watch the video, full time.
This guy is running his small plumbing business out of his shop (where the cameras are located). His shop is outside of the city and isn't visible from the road. He uses the email notification to quickly see if its a delivery truck coming in or a vehicle he should be concerned about.
