Wired a few homes built as EnergyStar rated and I know they earned credits and incentives. Looking at their website a lot of good info there.
[Link: energystar.gov]Gotta say it though, when those houses were being trimmed before the HVAC systems were running, such an odd feeling to be in a house that was basically airtight. Oddly uncomfortable. Had to open every window and door.

I've been in a few and they are very very uncomfortable, like almost creepy. Hard to describe!
