This has been my argument for a while. Clients want easy to use and attractive. Clients do not care, typically, whether their interface looks custom or unique to them. I would rather have a clean looking interface that is easy to use then have something custom.
This is true, and I've said it for many years (over 15). For some reason, it's very difficult to get most salespeople to understand it :-)
However, there are important advantages, other than "custom graphics", to having a customizable interface (such as Crestron's). Being able to change button location, text size, fonts, and even the "flow" of the pages can all be very helpful in making the system easier-to-use.
