I do not want their crappy modem/router/telephone device and would like to supply my own, or at least use the Comcast model we've been using so far which is a Ubee DDM3513 -- DOCSIS 3.0. From what I can see online, it supports more than enough speed for what I need.
Is DOCSIS 3.0 the latest spec?
When we moved in August i was forced to agree to taking the phone package if i wanted 100mbps. I would have to stick to 50 if i didn't want phone because it was a packaged deal. They also pushed their combo router modem wifi public hotspot device on me because of the Phone part of the package.
