With hundreds of devices in my database, assigning color to each would not be a viable option. I understand that you're suggesting only doing it for items that have multiple username/passwords, but between phones, tablets, computers, Roku, hulu, music, AppleTV, WAP, etc. that could still be too many to manage.
You are going to have to do something to exactly that many devices in order to signal and track that there are multiple users and passwords. Let's say you add a field to your spreadsheet and put a check mark in it for each such device. It's actually easier to color the cell background than to do that.
