The word is prejudice. A large portion (maybe all of us) have prejudices towards all sorts of categories or people, places, or things.

The tables are completely lopsided in that arena (Hollywood) and as you guys have alluded too things will change and become more blended. The ability for consumers to access content via other channels is going to level the playing field far faster then any awards show. While it has to be amazing to win such a highly regarded honor we all know that the roles and movies commonly honored are not necessarily the best.

The information age is upon us and while there are still plenty of ignorant people I can see hope.
