Can someone explain the reason for this to me?
It seems like "Run as Administrator" is a requirement to limit who can use the computer in this way. But all you have to do to run as Administrator is to click a couple of buttons. This is like me locking my front door when I leave home but leaving the key in the door. It's locked, all right, but there's zero practical difference between having the lock and not having it.
I guess, more to the point, are there cases where that "Run as Administrator" selection is not available, and if so, how does one turn it on?
It should be obvious, but for the sake of clarification and to eliminate any/all confusion: You do realize that if your account type is standard user, then the right click, run as admin will not work, right?
The reason why that option is there is so I, as system admin, can remote into your PC, and install/execute something that you as user couldn't.
