Wondering if there's a compatibility issue.
I download the program and can get it to open, but cannot run an update.
Anything outside the norm that needs to be done?

Run as administrator? That's what it suggests, but I've never done so before. The old guy is clueless. Better turn in my CI credentials.... :-)

Okay, figured it out.
Never had to do that before, but I right clicked on the shortcut icon and lo and behold, there was run as admin....
Who knew?
"I'm not worthy!"....

CCP itself has been fine on Windows 10 except that the driver for the MX880 will not install. If there is a way to get it to work I would love to know because I have to revert to an old XP based laptop in order to work on MX880's.
I would loved if my work laptop had Windows 7 on it but it came with 8 and someone, for some unknown reason, upgraded it to 10 and it has been nothing but trouble since then.

Hmmm, I have a MX880 going in on a job, so this is good to know. I don't have any hair to pull out, so it would have been ugly for sure.... So the antique running XP will come back from the dust one more time. It's in such a sad state that it has to be run off direct power since the charging circuit is bad, so it won't charge the battery any longer. Sorta like me, needing some assistance most of the time.... :-)

If it is a driver signature issue, you can disable the driver signing requirement. I had to do it for an old 810. [Link: remotecentral.com]

Wish the 890 was less expensive. Not a fan of the 880.

Everything was worked on my Windows 10 Surface Pro 3 so far. I am actually surprised. The "Run As Administrator" is very common with W10, however.

Have you used Win10 with MSC400? And, was that with 32 or 64 bit versions?

It seems like "Run as Administrator" is a requirement to limit who can use the computer in this way. But all you have to do to run as Administrator is to click a couple of buttons. This is like me locking my front door when I leave home but leaving the key in the door. It's locked, all right, but there's zero practical difference between having the lock and not having it. I guess, more to the point, are there cases where that "Run as Administrator" selection is not available, and if so, how does one turn it on?

It's a stupid feature...more like leaving your front door key hidden in a key rock, because not everybody knows about it, but those that know what to look for do. I'm sure there's some setting where you can require a passcode to "Run as Administrator" though...ohhh now we are getting really secure!

This is apparently an "added" feature. It was way too easy before.
Another first for me is the nesting of the macro window and the IR data window.
