The new PLAY:5 is both easier and harder to deal with than the original PLAY:5 in this sort of situation. The easy part is that there are no ports. The hard part is that it is curvy and there is nothing to grab hold of. You'd need a shelf to support the unit and it is heavier than it looks. While it is no SUB, it can thump if you ask. Be sure that nothing in the wall will rattle. Metal studs are not a great idea, be sure to add damping material to the studs. In other applications I have used spray foam. To some extent this will look like a square peg in a round hole.
