If you look at CAD drawings of the LG I think you'll understand why it's not VESA compliant. I don't know if IR works but remote is Bluetooth. I also had issues with the newest SONY which has Bluetooth remote. No IR code in my DB worked but the unit controlled easily over LAN. But the picture.....!
