I have actually found them to sound very good as compared to Sonance. The higher priced Director stuff sounds great and the bass response is impressive in the larger woofer designs.

I also like their "entry level" product and have started using it as my go to on production houses or if the customer scales back the speaker budget. The p60 and -61 are nice options IMO and offer good sound, and great looks for budget customers.

I don't think they are going to be a flash in the pan - but you never know. I will say this - I think it is more than "marketing". They are trying to innovate the in-ceiling speaker category instead of just being another "me too" product.
