I got a text today from client says it happened again (Office turned on Fam Rm system). The systems are totally different (Older HK, Elite TV, etc vs Denon, Samsung TV). It's as if the Office now has the Fam Rm's file in it? I can't tell you if it's "fully" controlling (vol, Directv, etc.) the Family system since I'm not on site.

Okay, so it has happened again.
You did not look at, or apparently ask the client, the first question: When the Office remote turns on the Family Room System, does the Family Room Remote turn on the Office System?

That would be, as suggested, someone swapped remotes between the two rooms. What is there in this problem description that rules that out?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
