welcome to the site. As you can see from the responses:
a.People have signed up and started out in a friendly manner, then turned to trying to sell us crap by pretending it's someone else's product that you think is great;
b.You've been welcomed;
c.You've been suspected of actually being someone else, someone who is, if I understand correctly, on forced hiatus and not able to post right now.
If I were you, I'd stick with response b. Welcome to the site! I can't say we've ever had anyone simply post "hello" as their first post. Usually it's a question or it's a comment on something someone else posted.
