For years, my MRF-260 has been working great with my MX-450. I sort of regret not getting the 6-port 350 but a couple IR splitters have done the job for me.

Weird, weird thing started happening yesterday. When it receives any command from the remote, it acts as if the button was being pressed continuously. Obviously, the devices are not responding to the commands. I've confirmed it's not the remote by watching the base station after a key press and removing the batteries from the remote...the base station kept putting out a signal even though it was not receiving one from the remote. So it's definitely a base station problem.

Anyone else have this problem? I'm a bit concerned about buying a new replacement base station if this is a common problem. I don't mind buying an out-of-date product with no support but not if others have been experiencing this. I would hate to lose the utility of my MX-450 but if it's time to upgrade, it's time to upgrade.

Thanks in advance for any responses.
