USB sync vs. active sync? Can someone please explain? Is Active Sync ever even used anymore? I thought Windows Mobile Device Center had superseded Active Sync years ago.

Perhaps this has to do with the remote being used? Maybe some very old ones still use Active Sync? I've had Windows Mobile Device Center installed on pretty much every computer I've owned over most of the last decade. I needed it for my now gone MX-3000. When I got an MX-1200, everything just worked immediately. I assumed I still needed Windows Mobile Device Center. Did I? What about for an MSC-400? Most, if not all, of URC's manuals still seem to refer to installing Active Sync rather than Windows Mobile Device Center.
