So I currently have a mx 80 and mx890 with a msc-400 and re extender. Love the look and feel of the 890 but unfortunately the 890 took a bad spill. I was thinking of putting the 980 in the bedroom and getting the 1200. Is this truly an upgrade though? I know the styling is better for me but wonder how much better it is overall. Another question is can the 1200 have an activities page and a devices page like the 980?

Another thing I really liked about the 890 was the usb sync rather than active sync with the 980. I've had to keep an old win xp laptop around just to sync the 980. I never got it to work with my win 8 64 bit pc's.

So plan A for me would be to upgrade the main remote to the 1200 and relegate the 980 to the bedroom. Plan B would be to get something cheaper like the 780 for the bedroom.
