OT: might not be related - My baby sister updated her iMac OSX to Yosemite OSX last weekend, the machine ran almost as a brick after was updated.

Find and delete Cache and Cookies folders will help to speed up your MAC.

I am running Yosemite but my issues existed before the update. I updated in an attempt to fix it but nothing changed at all except now i have these flat ugly UI graphics instead of the glossy interface that they used to have.

Cache and Cookies for what? I only ever use firefox under windows. I clear everything out constantly because i work on websites and sometimes changes wont "show" on my end until i delete everything. I just want to make sure i am not missing something on MAC OS that i don't know about.
