Has JAP sorted out the picture quality issues? My only experience with them is a couple of system installed by competitors 3-4 years back that I have ripped out and replaced, and the picture was clearly getting degraded by the system.
The 1st generation stuff was absolutely horrible. The 2nd generation of this product has been much better. It still uses compression of course but is good enough for video distribution thru a home or commercial establishment. Just wouldn't want to feed a main theater room with it or anywhere picture quality is critical.
Funny how there were dealers back with the 1st generation however that was praising them and said they saw nothing wrong with the picture quality. Makes me wonder why these people are in the video business. Hire a blind man to work at a paint store... nice.
Anyway, the 2nd generation stuff is much better and acceptable for video distribution.
