Just curious which ones you've had the best luck with - with only HDMI inputs or with HDBaseT connections too.

Just Add Power 2g with SG300-10 with Layer 3 Config.

I have been specifying the Snap HDBT piece. Have not put one in yet. After that we go to DM.

We will look at Zektor again once we get a second to breathe. Folks do stand by Just Add Power. Not sure about them if you have a Projector in the mix. I think they also have some audio limitation. Not a knock just a concern.

Just add power from here on out. even for a single transmitter-receiver since you dont need a switch.

Gives you a huge scalable solution for not much more then an HDBT extender.

At what setup does the JAP system become the same price as a decent matrix? 6x4 6x6?

with just strictly a matrix and not being HDBT it works out to be a bit more expensive, but since most jobs require an HDBT matrix solution it is more cost effective approach.

Has JAP sorted out the picture quality issues? My only experience with them is a couple of system installed by competitors 3-4 years back that I have ripped out and replaced, and the picture was clearly getting degraded by the system.

It looks like more than 8x8 but less than 8x16 if you are talking Snap's equipment pricing. Probably closer to others 8x8's.

No we do NOT sell Snaps 8*8. I suspect it would be more in line with a 6X6 DM or 8*8 Zektor for that level.

About the HD Audio. Are they passing that yet?

The 1st generation stuff was absolutely horrible. The 2nd generation of this product has been much better. It still uses compression of course but is good enough for video distribution thru a home or commercial establishment. Just wouldn't want to feed a main theater room with it or anywhere picture quality is critical.

Funny how there were dealers back with the 1st generation however that was praising them and said they saw nothing wrong with the picture quality. Makes me wonder why these people are in the video business. Hire a blind man to work at a paint store... nice.
Anyway, the 2nd generation stuff is much better and acceptable for video distribution.
