I never looked seriously at them because I felt they were on the same level as polk but maybe I was wrong, I've read some good comments.
How do their in walls sound...specifically the UIW line?

I have only installed one set but I definitely like the Artison Portrait. One of the reasons I wanted to try them is the drivers they use- the Vifa tweeter is one of the best I have heard. The center channel works great and they have been in use for almost 5 years. I built my own sub because the builder didn't leave me enough space for anything else.
I listened to the Def Tech 8040 a few weeks ago and they blew the B&W 683 out of the water. Not just the bass, but the overall sound was much more natural, IMO.
Both can be bought through distribution.
