hey everyone!
I've just bought an used Philips BDL4231 LCD screen in fair condition because it was the only way to fit my budget for a large flat screen... the previous owner locked both local keypad and remote control :/ according to the manual, the only solution to unlock is to use the RS232 protocol... I bought one of those cables on ebay (I'm sure I have one somewhere but impossible to remember the last time it was of any use for me!) but I simply have no idea on what to do once I'll connect the TV to the PC... I imagine there will be no "nice-and-easy plug-and-play pop-up". I'd be grateful if someone is kind enough to guide a newbie to finally get to use his screen...
