What C4 Processor are you using? You might want to split the Zone 2 output to the the Abus and the C4. Then you can an audio out of the C4 to control volume to the 70v amp.

Its an HC-800 and I was planning to split the zone 2 output to the abus and an amp.
Are you saying if I put the HC-800 in between the zone 2 outs and the amp that the HC-800 will handle the volume control in line rather than trying to rely on the amp?
If that's the case I am set!
