I can tell you this:

Do not trust what snap lists on their site for specs if you need to be accurate with those speaker brackets.

I had a client back in approx. october, did a whole house project...audio/video/surveillance cameras/network....with their budget they cut back a little on the speakers and we pre wired using episode brackets, intending to use the episode 8" thin bezel speakers.

Comes time for phase 2 and the client has decided he wants to go with Triad. I check specs and check them twice, the Triad in ceiling silver series will be a perfect fit. I order the Triad's, time comes to install and they go right through the bracket/ceiling.
WTF.... turns out the specs listed on snap's site were the wrong specs, they listed them smaller than they actually are!

I will look and see if I have any leftover 6.5" episode brackets...if I do i'll get a measurement
