But my comment isn't a criticism of Tesla. It's a fact. More electric cars are going to put more demand on the electric grid. And it could easily happen faster than the electric companies can expand.
That is not correct, They had more than 25,000 model S Tesla's on the road in 2013. they delivered 6900 model S sedans in Q4 alone that's where that number came from.
Tesla has been building and selling about 1700 Model S sedans a month, so they have sold more than 11.000 in 2014 so far.
So if you include the discontinued sports car model the actual total is around 40.000 cars world wide so far
