Yes, the modules can be reversed, but the speakers are angled away from the "L" so as to point up from below a TV. If you were to hang the speaker modules upside down it should only be with the intention of placing the sound bar above a TV.
Hmmm...how much of an angle do the speakers have? In our project we're placing teh soundbar above a fireplace at ~4'9" so it's already higher than the seating area.
