I don't know what anyone would spend the money on an mx5000 when you can get TC for the price of that remote. It's absolutely insane. Have you ever tried to enter wifi information in that thing manually using the on-remote keypad? Hell, for a $1200 you can practically get into a savant smart host system.
I think mx880,900,980 should cover 99% of customers. And really the distinction between those is what kind of graphics one would want and if variables are important to you. Just my humble opinion. It's not a slam.
I do not set up wifi on a 5000. It is a waste of time and will either be worthless or so low performance that it is better to skip it. However, it pays to have a higher priced option. Some just like it and choose it when presented to them. Just sayin.
