Based on the technically sloppy first post... did the electrician run "a wire," meaning a single conductor, or "a wire," meaning two conductors or even 4 conductors? If you're running 14-4, you speak of running a wire as meaning a 4 conductor wire.

This was clarified a bit when pesci jumped in and said it was 16-2, but yeah, we're wasting time until he comes back with more detail.
