Nothing from Lakefront Brewery?

Lakefront has barely made it past their own doorstep. Most micro/craft breweries don't have the capacity for distribution. As a retailer, you have to purchase directly from distribution. If something you want is not available from your distributors you can not sell it (post prohibition three tier system).

Three tier means that a brewer can not sell directly to a retailer. There has to be a middleman (distributor). Knowing this, and knowing that distributors have limited warehouse space and retailers have limited shelf space is why you see bud light packaged 600 different ways (eat up all of the floor or retail display space)

I can get Samuel Smith in from the UK but not Lakefront from Wisconsin. We pushed our distributors hard to secure dogfish (Delaware) and Dogfish struggles to meet demand in our region on some of their flagships (in kegs, bottles are easier). Dogfish 60 min IPA sixth barrels don't last long. We order them three at a time. Even yuengling at 2.5 million barrels of beer per year doesn't distribute much west of Ohio.

Fortunately, St. Louis is a very hot area for craft beer breweries. We have some exceptional craft breweries
