I had the exact same experiance as you. I asked for a Rev G and got a Rev A LCD. I installed it with little problem and when I was through the screen had the same issue you described with the lines on the left and right edge of the screen. The screen's quality does not seem as good as my original screen. I have an old pronto from back when the light sensor stll worked.

The good news is the backlight works after the procedure. I am not really sure what my next move is. I feel like I should talk to the place I orded them from and get the correct replacement. The problem with that is I don't have anyplace to ship it too. I won't be home to sign for anything and I can't send it to work because we are in the process of moving buildings and I don't know the switch over date yet.
