OMG…. No, you are not insane, it’s easy to blame it on your laptop or the second laptop or the third.
The fact is, RTI hand held remotes are JUNK!! Been in this business for a long time and network with custom dealers across Canada and the USA. Some of us are still hanging in there with RTI and some of us have moved on. The bottom line, ask any long term dealer that has worked with RTI more than one or two years and will actually tell the truth. The remotes cause us stress and tons of mula, hard cash and our reputation with our clients. I love it when their remotes won’t connect with USB to your PC to do an update and you’re 1 ½ hours away from the shop. You contact RTI Tech support and they say try another cable, try another computer, stand on your head. You see, I have been down this road and brought a dozen cables and 3 computers, but it must be our fault because we tried to update on a Wednesday.
